Evgeny Efimov is a front-line, Soviet cameraman and documentary film director. Filmed by him films were included in the documentary film "Majdanek - the cemetery of Europe", which tells about the death camp in Poland. After the war, he shot stories for film magazines: Zheleznodorozhnik, Soyuzkinozhurnal, News of the Day, Pioneer, Soviet Sport. Laureate of the Stalin Prize of the second degree, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, member of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR.

Biography of Eugene Efimov
Evgeny Ivanovich Efimov was born in the Moscow region on February 18, 1908.
In 1926, Evgeny Efimov was educated at the Moscow Industrial and Economic Polytechnic and the school-studio of film actors (established in 1918) named after B.V. Tchaikovsky.
In 1926 - 1927 - worked as a laboratory assistant, assistant operator of the film factory "Gosvoenkino".
Since 1927 - Eugene Efimov Ass. operator, operator of the 3rd factory "Sovkino".
In 1929 - 1930 - in the Red Army.
In 1931 - 1936 - at the movie factory "Mezhrabpomfilm".
Since 1936 - at the Moscow (then Central) newsreel studio.

Front-line cameraman during the Great Patriotic War
At the front, Evgeny Efimov since July 1941. He worked in tandem with cameraman Nikolai Lytkin. Since July 1941 - Evgeny Efimov - operator of film groups of the North-West and Leningrad Fronts. Since May 1942 - an operator of film groups of the Kalinin, 2nd Ukrainian and 1st Belorussian fronts. September 1943 - February 1944 - Evgeny Efimov cameraman of the film group Steppe Front.
In 1944, Eugene Efimov was seconded to the Polish Army. He made a great contribution when shooting the battles for the liberation of Tikhvin, Kharkov, Warsaw, Berlin. The films he shot were included in the documentary "Majdanek - the Cemetery of Europe" (1944; dir: Jerzy Bossak, Alexander Ford; Production: State Association "Film Polski").
