Biography
The future footballer was born in January 1994 in a family of Turkish emigrants in the city of Frankfurt, Germany. The boy was an extremely active child from early childhood, and his parents decided to send him to a sports school. It was not necessary to choose a sport for a long time - in Germany there are very good football schools, and therefore parents enrolled their son in the SV Blau-Gelb football academy, which is located in Frankfurt.
From the age of six, Emre began to play football and progress began to be felt almost immediately. Only six years later he was noticed by another local club Eintracht, one of the best teams in the city. In the new team, Jan did not play a key role, but appeared on the field quite often, and in many matches he helped his team achieve success. The success of the talented youth attracted the attention of the German grand, the Bayern football club. When Jan turned fifteen, Eintracht and Bavaria reached an agreement, and the young midfielder moved to Munich.
Professional career
In the top club in Germany, the boy again had to prove that he deserves a place in the team, but at the new level there were new challenges that Jan did not cope very well with. As a result, he steadily “polished” the spare shop in the youth team, and having the opportunity to play for the main team, he quickly went to the double.
Having played two seasons for “Bavaria 2” he went on loan. The new club of Emre was Bayer 04, the middle section of the Bundesliga, in which a promising footballer played just one season. In 2014, the English club Liverpool drew attention to him, and after agreeing on a contract, a German of Turkish descent went to conquer the English Premier League.
Emre made his debut for the English club in August 2014. He replaced Joe Allen in a match against Manchester City, in which the Merseysides lost by a score of 1-3. Not the most vivid debut was fixed by a failure in the German national team until the age of 21 next month - Jan got an ankle injury and was forced to miss the start of the season.

The next season, the team was led by compatriot Dzhana - Jurgen Klopp. One of his priorities was for a talented soccer player to quickly start the score for his goals. Emre scored the first goal with a new coach on October 25 in a match against Kazan “Rubin”, which took place as part of the Europa League. In February 2016, in a game against Aston Villa, Jan scored the first goal in the English Premier League. This match ended with a crushing score of 6-0.
In the Europa League, “Liverpool” was confident, but reaching the quarterfinal match suffered serious losses. In the mast against the “Borussia”, Jan was injured and according to the statements of the coaching staff retired before the end of the season. But already to the semifinal stage, in which the “Merseysides” met the Spanish “Villarreal” Gian again returned to duty and went on the field. The player himself later said that he trained for eight hours every day to recover for such a serious match and help the team.
The following season, Jan began at the base and was regularly celebrated with useful actions. Emre opened the scoring for goals in the 16/17 season on October 29 in a match against Crystal Palace, he scored the first goal and thereby became an accomplice in a major victory with a score of 4-2. November 6, he also noted in a major victory - in the match with “Watford” he scored the third goal, the game ended with the victory of “Liver” with a score of 6-1. This victory temporarily brought Klopp's wards to first place in the championship. In May 2017, thanks to a goal by Jan, “Liverpool” won a minimal victory in the second leg over “Watford”. It was for this magnificent ball that flew into the opponent’s goal that the player received the "Best Goal of the Season" award.
Gian spent another fruitful season at Liverpool, and in June 2018 he moved to the Italian Juventus club after the expiration of the contract with the Merseysides. Klopp and the club management found this outcome the most favorable in the current situation.
