Elena Vorobey (current Elena Yakovleva Lebenbaum) is a Russian pop, film and television actress, comedian and parodist. Honored Artist of Russia (2012).

Biography
Elena Vorobey was born on June 5, 1967 in Brest, not far from the Brest Fortress (Belarusian SSR). Elena grew up in a poor Jewish family. His father, Yakov Movshevich Lebenbaum (born in 1948), worked all his life as a mechanic in the housing office, and his mother, Nina Lvovna Lebenbaum (1947-2016), worked as an installer and seamstress (she died of cancer).
As a child, little Lena was a hooligan: she loved yard games, trees, fences, garages, but despite this, the girl was an excellent student at school. Her first abilities for parody appeared during her studies at school - Lena masterfully portrayed gait and reproduced the voices of teachers.
Since childhood, Lena Vorobey dreamed of becoming an actress, or rather a clown. Parents saw the girl as a music teacher and after the eighth grade they transferred their daughter to a music school in Brest.
Having visited Leningrad for the first time, Elena fell in love with this city and decided that she would study in it. And in 1988, the girl from the third attempt entered the Leningrad Theater Institute (LGITMiK) in the class of pop and film, the course of Isaac Stockbant. The examination committee turned a blind eye to Elena’s lack of voice. In 1993, the actress successfully graduated from the institute.
Career and creativity
From her student years, the beginning actress began working in the Leningrad State Theater "BUFF", where she met with Yuri Galtsev, Gennady Vetrov and Natalya Vetlitskaya. In the theater, she had the opportunity to play in dramatic performances, sing and parody.
In 1991, she performed with a clownery to the music from the Bob Foss film "Cabaret" at the acting song contest named after Andrei Mironov, where the jury was indignant. However, the audience very warmly received the talented actress, and Elena received the audience award.
In 1993, at the All-Russian contest "Yalta-Moscow-Transit", Elena was able to demonstrate her acting and vocal abilities and became the owner of the Grand Prix, received the audience prize. But to advance to the big stage, considerable funds were required. Therefore, the actress had to return to the BUFF Theater again.
Elena continued to write songs, voiced numerous commercials. But one day, she accidentally met a wealthy entrepreneur who agreed to sponsor a recording of her phonograms and helped advance on the path to fame.
In 1998, Alla Pugacheva invited Elena to shoot the program "Christmas Meetings". After some time, Elena performed a solo number at the Levchik and Vovchik concert, and during the concert she received a favorable offer from the President of the ARTPES Cultural Fund.
Since 2000, Elena Vorobei switched to the stage and began acting in the "Full House" program. The artist began to give solo concerts in front of a large audience in different cities and countries. For several years, Elena managed to travel around the world.
She repeatedly became the laureate of the All-Russian competitions of pop artists: the Ostankino hit parade (1995), the Cup of humor (2002), Golden Ostap - the cup of the best pop actress of 2006.
In 2007, the actress played in the play "Jackson of My Wife" (directed by Alexander Gorban).
In 2008, Elena was a member of the competition "Two Stars" in a duet with Boris Moiseev.
In 2009, she participated in the program “Dancing with the Stars” together with Kirill Nikitin.
In 2010, she played the role of Inessa in the play "They Don't Joke with Love" (directed by Vladimir Shcheblykin).
In 2011, she was a member of the program "Zirka + Zirka 2" in a duet with Kirill Andreev.
In 2012, she played in the performances: “What do men want?”, “You are my God” (Sylvia), “Love in Italian” (Eva).
In 2012, Elena Vorobey received the title of Honored Artist of Russia.
In 2013, she participated in the parody show "Repeat", which was broadcast on the first channel.
In 2014, Elena became the director of the film "Doctor in the Cinema", took part in the project "Just the same." In the same year was the host of the program "Saturday Night".
In 2015, she played the role of Nina in the play "He is in Argentina" (directed by Nina Chusova).
In 2017, she played the role of Margo in the play "A Man with Home Delivery" (directed by Nina Chusova).
In the same year, she became the winner of the "Three Chords" contest program on Channel One.
