Elena Kozlova, one of the leading children's writers of Komi, the author of dramatic works, was awarded the title of Honored Worker of the Komi Republic and the culture of the Russian Federation. She was awarded the International Literary Prize of the Kindred Nations Program, the Government of the Komi Republic. Since 1991, Elena Vasilievna is a member of the Union of writers of the country.

Literary debut
The birth year of the future novelist is 1954. She was born in the village of Laaty on February 14 in the family of a teacher. Elena graduated from elementary school in her native village. Then she studied in the village of Tuiskeres. A graduate in 1971 chose the education of a philologist at a pedagogical institute.
Since 1974, she taught literature in Russian at the Tuiskeres school. From 1976 to 1978, Kozlova worked as a kindergarten teacher. Having moved to Syktyvkar, the future writer entered the literary and folklore department in IYALI as a laboratory assistant.
Elena Vasilievna worked with famous folklorists Chistalev and Rochev. She went on an ethnic expedition. Based on the results of the trips, the article "Production and family conspiracies at the Komi" was written in 1982, and the essay "Voices of hoary antiquities" was created in 1988.
Since 1982, Elena Vasilievna worked in a consulting position in the Writers 'Union of the Komi Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, then from 1992 she took the post of deputy board of the Writers' Union. Kozlova worked on it until 1995.
To this day, she heads the board of the organization in Komi, is a member of the International Association of Finno-Ugric writers and the Union of Writers of the country. She is responsible for supporting young authors, participating in international and national literary events.
The first works of Elena Vasilievna were poems for children in the late seventies. However, from the beginning of the eighties, the writer began to engage in prose. Her debut work was the story "Smile".
The author, using psychological techniques, spoke in him about the problem of family relationships. The work was included in the collection "Parma Mountains" in 1984.

They entered the small collection 1997 "Lym Mort." The general idea of all works is children's faith in a miracle, a fairy tale; there is always a place for it in life. The author also works in the genre of a children's story. She created the works “Me and My Brother Ivuk” for younger students, “The Narrow Path”, designed for a teenage audience, the fabulous “Magic Glasses”.

In an accessible form, the narrative introduces readers to the ordinary life of the Komi, introduces them to ancient history, talks about the national character, worldview of the people. In the genre of adventure fiction, the work "The Veknyidik Horde" was created.
It tells about the mysterious adventures during the summer holidays of adolescents, highlights issues of friendship, responsibility, clashes with the adult world. The writer also addressed with fabulous subjects.
Her work "Shundyr" was created in the tradition of folk storytelling. The story tells about the responsive and kind baby Shundyr. In 1997, a Christmas play for children "At the Forest Spruce" was released.
