Biography
John was born into a full-fledged family. His father, Donald Leibowitz, worked as a physics professor at the college, and his mother, Marian Laskin, taught at the school and provided educational counseling. However, a little later, the boy’s parents began to deteriorate. When John was only 11 years old, they decided to divorce. He began to live with his mother and practically did not communicate with his father, whom he considered a traitor for a long time. It was because of this that John subsequently abandoned his real name, taking his middle name instead. In addition, John had a brother, Lawrence, with whom he spent a lot of time as a child, playing football and hide and seek.
When the boy went to school, he was constantly harassed by anti-Semitic bullying, because his whole family had Jewish roots. However, John rarely paid attention to this. He was incredibly passionate about history, reading books and journalism. In high school, along with his studies, the young man worked with his brother in the store, but he was soon fired due to insufficient focus on the work process.
After leaving school, John studied at the College of William and Mary in Virginia, where he first specialized in chemistry, and then switched to psychology. His sporting talent also appeared there, because the young man was one of the best players in the college football team. In 1984, Stuart’s training ended, and he began to search for his destiny. Before finding himself, John changed many posts. He was a specialist in emergency planning, and an administrator at the City University of New York, and a theater-goer, and a football coach, and even a bartender.
Career
At school and college, all students and teachers noted that John has an incredible sense of humor and is able to amuse any person. In 1986, Stuart remembered this fact and decided to try himself in comedy. For a long time he could not have the courage to go on stage, but his debut in the production of "The Bitter End" impressed all viewers and critics.
Since then, John began to perform humorous scenes every night in different institutions. He was invited to television from the very beginning of his career, but he believed that for this it was necessary to improve his acting abilities. After 2 years of fruitful work, Stuart nevertheless accepted the proposal for the first work on television as the author for the program "Comedy Hour".
In 1993, John developed the concept of his own author talk show for the MTV channel. At the very beginning, the program brought great ratings, but after a few years in connection with the advent of other comedic shows, the John Stuart show lost its popularity. Therefore, in June 1995 it was canceled.
One of Stuart's ardent admirers was David Letterman, who was the last guest of his show. It was he who invited John to perform on his CBS late-show program. Stuart's career began to rise again. Already in 1996, he organized a new talk show called “Where's Elvis This Week?” Featuring a half-hour weekly comedy program, which aired on Sunday night in the UK on BBC Two.
In 1999, Stuart began hosting the Daily Show on Comedy Central. In it, John's main task was to mix humor with the main news of the day, ridicule politicians, newsmakers and the news media themselves. This program allowed him to win a total of twenty Emmy awards.

In his speeches, he often expressed his own views on the political life of the country, often calling the main persons of America criminals and embezzlers. It was for his sincerity and honesty that the fans loved him so much.
In February 2015, John announced that he was leaving the Daily Show. A new period began in his career. Stewart entered into a partnership with HBO and began filming comedies for the channel. However, the program had to be closed in May 2017, since it did not bring material profit and did not have popularity. However, John continued as a journalist and comedian.
