The life of some people can be traced to the history of an entire country - for example, the life of actor Jack Warden. He survived the great depression, the great war, saw the restoration of peace after the fascist plague, and he lived in peacetime for a long time. Perhaps such an eventful life helped him to realize the images of different heroes on the screen after he became an actor.

Biography
Jack Worden was born in 1920 in Newark. He did not live with his parents because they gave their son to their grandmother in Louisville. An elderly woman spoiled her grandson, and he grew up cocky and desperate. Jack haunted the children at school, constantly got into fights, and he knew how to fight well. For this behavior, he was expelled from school when he moved to high school.
The young man went to do what he knew best - to fight. He fought with professional boxers, and she was paid mere crumbs. Having endured many fights, Jack realized that he was making money not for himself, but for the agent, so he left this sport.
He worked wherever he needed, and in 1938 he was recruited into the US Navy. Right before the war, he transferred to the merchant fleet, and then went to serve in the army, in the landing troops. The war circled around Jack, terrifying with the number of deaths, but his fate kept: once he injured his leg and ended up in the hospital for six months, without ever getting to the front. He later found out that many of his colleagues died during a landing in Normandy.
At the hospital, Warden read the plays of Clifford Odets, and he became possessed by the desire to become an actor. After demobilization, he went to New York to study as an actor.
Movie career
Only in 1948, Jack got the opportunity to appear on television in the show "Studio One." Later there was the project "Filko Television Theater" and the feature film "You are now in the Navy." Unfortunately, in the film he had such a small role that his last name was not even in the credits. However, a beautiful actor was noticed, and very quickly offered a role in the film "A Man with My Face", and after another six months, he was waiting for work in the television project "Mr. Peepers".
A significant leap in Warden's career occurred after the release of the film "12 Angry Men." The film is still among the top 250 best films. In subsequent years, he starred a lot, and the result of his work became nominations for prestigious awards, including an Oscar for the films Shampoo and Heaven Can Wait. He also won the Emmy contest for his role in the Brian Song song.
