Biography
Jamie was born July 14, 1975 in a city called Enterprise, which is located in Alabama in the southern United States. From childhood, Jamie Johnson loved country, which, of course, influenced not only the perception of the world, but also his future career. Young Jamie was especially influenced by the music of giants such as the bands Alabama and Alan Jackson. Could Jamie then, in early childhood, think that he would become as famous as these bands? It is unlikely that we will find out.
Education
Jamie Johnson graduated from high school. Jefferson Davis. After that, the musician went to Jacksonville State University, where he became a member of the Sigma Nu student fraternity.
The college was never finished. Johnson left him after the second year, after which he ended up in the US Marine Corps reserve. The musician served in the mortar position and even achieved the rank of corporal. Jamie always played his own songs for the Marines, with whom he served. As far as we know, Johnson kept in touch with most of them for many years to come. Also in the first album of Jamie Johnson there are songs that mention the service in the Marine Corps.
Further Contribution to Country Culture
As soon as the service was over, Jamie left for Montgomery, the capital of Alabama, where he began to give his music to people. The first large-scale event for Jamie Johnson was the warming up of one of David Allan Co's concerts.
Closer to 2000, Jamie moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he continued to work on music. It was there that the first album "They Call Me Country" was released on their own.
In 2005, the musician signed a contract with BNA Records, with which the first single "The Dollar" was released. This single managed to catch on, but the next single "Rebelicious" did not hit the charts, and therefore BNA Records broke the contract with Jamie Johnson.
Personal life
After breaking the contract, Jamie had hard times. The musician’s wife filed for divorce, and Johnson himself became a recluse, but still continued to write songs, albeit for other artists.
