Biography
Dmitry Vladimirovich Nagiyev was born in St. Petersburg in 1967 and in its origin has not only Russian, but also Azerbaijani roots. The family of the future showman was far from art: parents worked at the factory, trying to give everything necessary to Dmitry and his younger brother Eugene. In childhood, the boy was identified in the sambo section, and after a few years he managed to win the title of master of sports.
In high school, Dmitry still did not have clarity about his future, so after school he received a technical education and served in the army. On the advice of his father, who once dreamed of becoming an actor, Nagiyev Jr. made an attempt to enter the Cherkasov Theater Institute, and he succeeded. Unfortunately, after a couple of years, Dmitry was diagnosed with facial paralysis. The consequences of the disease are still evident in him.
Career
In his student years, Dmitry Nagiyev began to play in the theater and became one of the most talented young actors. His troupe performed not only in St. Petersburg, but also in Germany. After graduating, Nagiyev got a job on the Radio "Modern", where, along with former fellow student Sergei Rost, he opened the program "Caution, Modern!" So the famous image of ensign Zadov was born, and the show gradually switched to television.
In 1998, Dmitry Nagiyev first appeared in a movie, namely in the drama "Purgatory", staged by Alexander Nevzorov. This was followed by prominent roles in the TV series "Deadly Force" and "Master and Margarita." At the same time, Nagiyev’s television career was in full swing ahead: he became the host of the Okna talk show and the first season of the Dom project on TNT. In 2005, the showman was invited to host the international sports project "Big Races" on Channel One.
A new round of popularity overtook Dmitry in 2012. He became the host of the vocal shows "Voice" and "Voice. Children" on the same "Channel One", and also played in the television series "Kitchen". In these projects, Nagiyev continues to act in film, as before, which brings him a solid income. He is invited to shoot and to other major projects, such as the comedy "The Best Day", "New Fir-trees" and, of course, the series "Fizruk": the image of the former gangster and now school physical education teacher Thomas became one of the most iconic for Nagiyev in his career.
