In 2013, one of the worst crimes for the Russians. An ordinary lawyer of one of the pharmacy chains shot 6 of his colleagues. What became the motive for such a terrible act? Who is he - Dmitry Vinogradov, who became the "Russian Breivik"? Could crime be prevented? If so, why none of those people who knew about his plans did this?
Who is Dmitry Vinogradov - biography, education
The future mass murderer was born in Moscow in August 1983 in an average Russian family. The boy’s health problems began immediately after birth, but they were only physical, and had nothing to do with psychology. The baby was diagnosed with encephalopathy caused by intrauterine oxygen starvation, the cervical vertebrae were displaced. The boy could go only after an intensive course of massage.
Dmitry’s childhood passed on the road, as his father was a geologist and often went on long business trips with his family. Psychological problems were added to the boy’s physical problems as early as 2 years old. Murmansk doctors found signs of autism in Dmitry, which was aggravated by a head injury at 4 years old.
After the family returned to Moscow in 1989, the boy began to receive more qualified medical care, was able to go to school, but was different from his peers - he was withdrawn, shy, could not answer at the blackboard. After the transition to the humanitarian class, his condition improved, he even went in for tennis. After graduating from a comprehensive school, Vinogradov managed to enter a rather prestigious higher institution - a law university at the Russian Academy of Sciences, and after graduating from it, he began to develop a career in profile.
Dmitry Vinogradov - how he became a killer
After the terrible thing happened, 6 people died, it became known that Dmitry Vinogradov more than once sought the help of qualified psychiatrists, but he was only diagnosed with prolonged depression. During a visit to a doctor, he drew attention to the fact that his consciousness often seemed to bifurcate, he experienced bouts of rage, but experts did not see any serious problems in this.
Dmitry Vinogradov experienced rage against the background of an unrealized personal life. He had girls, he broke up with one of them at the time of the crime, met with the other. But gradually the relationship with her became colder, psychological problems grew, and the "second" person in Dmitry's body began to methodically prepare for the murder.
In August 2012, Vinogradov bought a gun and carbine, cartridges for them and even special uniforms. For several months he worked through all the nuances of the crime, before committing it, shared his plans with the girl, published a manifest on his page in one of the social networks, but no one paid attention to this either.
On November 7, Dmitry easily carried weapons and clothes to the office where he worked, changed clothes and went out into the corridor to kill. He had no plans to kill anyone specifically. He simply shot at those who caught his eye. The victims of the "Russian Breivik" were six of his colleagues. The killer had already stopped at that time Nikita, an employee of the Strelnikov’s office who was seriously injured by him. When Vinogradov reloaded his weapons, he kept the offender until the security officers arrived in time for help.
Investigation of the crime of Dmitry Vinogradov
The very next day after the commission of the terrible crime, the “Russian Breivik” was formally charged in the Babushkinsky section of the Moscow court. During the investigation, it was found out that Vinogradov was seeking medical help, was taking treatment, but not the recommended inpatient, but outpatient, that is, he took the drugs prescribed on his own. In addition, a manifesto was discovered on his page on the social network, where he openly spoke about his plans. The page was immediately blocked, as the criminal had not only opponents, but also a whole support group.
In his testimony, Dmitry Vinogradov was concise, confidently answered all questions. He even expressed condolences to the relatives of those whom he himself had killed, but he drew attention to the fact that he would continue to kill if Strelnikov had not stopped him, and there would have been much more victims.
In relation to Dmitry Vinogradov, a forensic psychiatric examination was conducted. Only forensic psychiatrists were able to establish that a man has progressive schizophrenia, precluding full awareness and analysis of personal actions. Vinogradov was recognized as socially dangerous, but sane.
