Businessman Dmitry Mikhalchenko made a dizzying career by creating one of the largest and most successful business structures in the city on the Neva. One of the projects of the Russian billionaire is the construction of a multifunctional port in the immediate vicinity of St. Petersburg. However, the rapid career rise was followed by an equally rapid decline, which ended in a prison term.

The future Russian businessman was born in Leningrad on April 20, 1972. Dmitry received his education at the College of Marine Instrument Engineering (St. Petersburg). Then he moved to Great Luke. He worked at a meat processing plant, grew up to the post of commercial director of this enterprise.
Soon Mikhalchenko left for Ukraine, where he participated in the opening of the company from a meat factory. As a co-owner of the plant, he then sold his stake in the business to entrepreneur Vladimir Podvalny.
Career
In the late 90s, Mikhalchenko became a supplier of equipment for the October Railway. Then he headed the non-profit organization managing the affairs of the regional fund of FSB management programs in St. Petersburg. One of the activities of this ANO is the reconstruction of the station areas. Mikhalchenko himself denies that he ever served in the state of power structures.
In 2001, Dmitry Mikhalchenko founded the famous holding Forum, which, after a decade and a half, became one of the largest in St. Petersburg. This business structure includes several dozens of enterprises, including the Magistral Association of Enterprises, the Bronka Port, Baltstroy Port, and the Forum Law Agency.
The project to create a multifunctional seaport "Bronka" in the northern capital was launched in 2008. Mikhalchenko became one of the main investors in the project, the total value of which was estimated at 58.9 billion rubles. Within the framework of the project, it was planned to build container and rolling terminals. In the fall of 2015, Mikhalchenko reported on the completion of the construction of the first stage of the deepwater port. For this work, the project manager was recognized as one of the best top managers of the city on the Neva.
