Honored Artist of Russia Dmitry Bozin is today one of the few actors who puts theatrical activity a priority for cinematography, despite the understandable financial aspect and the level of audience coverage. According to him, "the theater is not a movie, and it cannot be so easily saved, the theater is like a sand figure, it is being strewed."
According to Roman Viktyuk, the founder of the theater of the same name, where Dmitry Stanislavovich Bozin has been working since the very beginning of his creative career, this very leading actor is not just a person, but a “concept”! A talented and titled actor is so original that he does not have a specific role in the traditional sense. He acts in any roles, including women, and does it very frankly, vividly, inimitably that the phrase "lives on stage" refers to him, like no other.
Biography and filmography of Dmitry Bozin
A native of Frunze (Kyrgyzstan) and a native of a family far from the world of culture and art, was born on November 6, 1972. From childhood, Dima wanted to be like his father, who was well anatomically complex, and therefore sport became for him the most important thing in life. It was skiing and subsequently fitness classes that determined its current impeccable appearance.
The family moved to the Tyumen region (Komsomolsky settlement) when the boy was six years old, and later Bozins ended up in Novy Urengoy. Among the youthful hobbies of Dmitry also includes poetry, which was welcomed in the family circle, and playing acoustic guitar. It is interesting that because of his school hobby, a girl who studied in drama circles, he enrolled there himself, and a little later he discovered a new world full of bright colors.
At the regional competition in Tyumen, their creative team took first place, and the game of Dmitry himself was noted in the jury, recommending him theatrical training in the capital. That is why he still in the tenth grade passed the first round at the Shchepkinsky school, began to persistently engage in choreography, music and even acrobatics. At eighteen, Bozin entered GITIS on the course of P.O. Chomsky. In his second year at the university, he made his debut in cinema with a cameo role. The first experience of filming did not impress him at all, and he focused on the theatrical stage.
Since 1995, Dmitry Bozin has been a permanent member of the creative team at the Roman Viktyuk Theater. In addition, he sometimes enters the stage of other metropolitan theaters. The list of his theater projects includes, first of all, the following: “Slingshot”, “Master and Margarita”, “The Unseen Garden. Rudolf Nureyev”, “Last Love of Don Juan”, “Salome, or Oscar Wilde’s Strange Games”, “Handmaids " It was in the last two of these productions that Dmitry Bozin appeared in front of the audience in female roles.
For the leading actor of the Roman Viktyuk Theater, solo performances and the genre of mythological theater are of particular importance. The theaters are well aware that Dmitry Bozin, being alone with a huge audience, can attract her attention to the scene as much as possible. It is clear why his solo performances are almost always full houses.
The filmography of the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation today is not filled as widely as the theater repertoire because of his great love for contact with people, not cameras. However, there are very interesting film works here. “Rostov-papa”, “Poor Nastya”, “Angel on the Roads”, “Theft”, “Hamlet. XXI Century” - this is an incomplete list of cinema projects with his participation.
