Dmitry Glukhovsky is known as the creator of an alternative universe called Metro. This is a series of books on post-apocalyptic reality, which brought the author worldwide fame.
Biography
Dmitry Glukhovsky was born in Moscow in the summer of 1979. His father was a poet and journalist, and the boy from childhood had been particularly interested in his father's typewriter.
Dmitry successfully graduated from the school with an in-depth study of the French language and entered the University of Jerusalem, preparing to become an international journalist.
Glukhovsky received a good education, speaks five languages. In 2002, the future writer moved to France and began working on the television channel EuroNews.
In 2005, Dmitry returned to Russia and became a correspondent on the Russia Today channel. He was part of a journalist group covering the activities of the president of the country, conducted live reports from hot spots (Abkhazia, Chernobyl, Israeli Kiryat Shmona).
In addition, the Glukhovsky year lived in Germany, collaborating with Deutsche Welle and Sky News (UK). Since 2007, he worked as a presenter on Mayak Radio, and in 2009 he began conducting the popular science-based program Fantastic Breakfast from the PostTV Internet channel.
As for the writer's personal life, he is married to Elena, his former television colleague. Spouses raise two children.
