Biography
Diana Vladimirovna Mashkova was born in Kazan on November 29, 1977. Parents instilled in her a love of reading, taught her to love people, to be responsible and passionate about her idea.
Diana studied well, but did not like school. As a child, she was shy and constrained in communication, but after school she decided to independently manage her life. At 16, she entered Kazan Pedagogical University. Later she became a candidate of philological sciences. She taught English and foreign literature. In 2002, Diana decided to move to Moscow.
The beginning of life in Moscow
The conquest of Moscow began with translation activities in the journal Daily Telegraph. Diana’s creative nature made it possible to succeed at Transaero Airlines. She offered ideas, and management approved them. So she became a leading specialist in several areas - working with VIP-clients, organizing a call center and training service employees. There was no time left to write a favorite thing, and creativity in Diana’s life was above all. Since childhood, she knew that she truly loves only one thing - to write books. The decision came to quit the airline.
Writing at Eksmo
Mashkova D. gratefully recalls a meeting with writer Yuri Polyakov, who invited her to publish her first fiction story in Literary Newspaper. They became interested in her as an author, and a collection of plus-minus novels and short stories followed.
In 2008, the first book, Outsourcing of Love, was published at Eksmo. In it, she talked about her feelings about life in Moscow and how she got used to it. Further cooperation with Eksmo has become permanent, and continues to this day.
Family life
D. Mashkov is married to Denis Salteev. They have a native daughter - Nella. The husband is successfully involved in IT-technologies, but the main work, according to Denis, is paternity. He supports his wife in everything. They have similar attitudes and views. Denis admits that there were difficulties with foster children, but they did it all. With the advent of the family of children, his professional life also changed. In one interview, he talks about happy coincidences. On the day of the adoption of little Dasha, he received a call from Cisco and offered cooperation. Everything turned out: now he is a happy father and a successful employee.
Two Dasha and Gosh
From childhood, Diana came to the conviction that it was necessary to help people, especially children. She read many books of foreign classics, where orphans are the heroes. The girl was worried about them and already then understood that such children feel unnecessary to anyone.
Husband also had thoughts about disadvantaged children. As volunteers, they began to visit the orphanage.
In 2013, a two-month-old Dasha appeared in the family, a little later another Dasha, a thirteen-year-old. Then the 16-year-old Gosh. It was more difficult with teenagers than with little Dasha. In this D. Mashkova admits in the book "My name is Gosh. The story of an orphan." Dasha Sr. smoked and tried to drink. Gosha often stole in stores when he lived in an orphanage. He even thought about death. But gradually the teenagers felt the strength and support of the family. It came to understand that Diana, Denis and Nella / the blood daughter / treat them as real family members and see in them not "cuckoo", but people in spirit. Now they are confidently looking to the future, and Gosha even decided on a profession. I decided to become a teacher of primary education.
Charity fund
In March 2014, the Arithmetic of Good Foundation was established. Among the inspirers were Diana Mashkova and her husband Denis Salteev. The founder was a man with a capital letter - Roman Ivanovich Avdeev.
D. Mashkov takes an active part in the activities of the fund. She is responsible for Enlightenment - online lessons, motivational trainings and other fund projects.
Club "Alphabet of the foster family"
The Club "ABC of the foster family" communicates with people who have doubts about the adoption of someone else's child. A particularly sore subject is adolescents. There are “myths” and certain stereotypes about the difficulty of communicating with adolescents who grew up in orphanages. They are afraid to take them from orphanages, although most of the orphans in shelters are just teenagers. For families who are in a difficult life situation, they organize assistance fees for paying debts. They collect money for the treatment of children.
