Childhood and youth
Some people learn about their place in life already in childhood. David Dastmalchyan was born on February 29, 1984 in an international family. Just six months later, the parents broke up, and the child and his mother moved to the famous city of Chicago. Mother had to work hard to make ends meet in a meager family budget. The boy remained long left to his own devices. David met his peers on the street, and spent all his free time with them.
It was on the street that Dastmalchyan first tried drugs. Just smoked a cigarette with marijuana. A friend who had wealthy parents shared dope with David. In college, the future actor studied well. Actively engaged in a theater studio. He was fascinated by stage work, when it was possible to transform into a super-hero or writer. David himself began to compose scripts for films. When the time came to choose a profession, Dastmalchyan decided to get a specialized education at the acting department of the University of Chicago.
Professional activity
After graduation, Dastmalchyan served for several years at the local Globus Theater. The audience and critics noted the actor’s mature play in the performances “Glass Menagerie” and “Buried Child”. The career of a theatrical actor was quite successful, but David was drawn to the cinema. The debut on the set took place in 2008. The theater actor played one of the leading roles in the thriller "The Dark Knight". The following year, the psychological drama "The Riders" was released. David gained experience in such a way as to try his abilities as a producer.
Observing fans noticed that Dastmalchyan did not star and did not put films about love. In 2014, a social drama entitled "Animals" was released. In this project, David took part as a screenwriter, lead actor and producer. The plot of the picture is based on the negative experience that Dastmalchyan received while using drugs. The film received a special prize from the jury of the film festival, which is held annually in Texas.
