Natalia's creative biography began back in school years. She performed her first role at the age of twelve in the film "Hannah Montanna: Cinema". The girl appeared in the picture in the image of Clarissa Granger. A comedy film about teenagers, shot on the television series "Hannah Montanna", was a great success with the audience and received excellent reviews from film critics.
early years
The girl was born in the winter of 1997 in the small town of Nashville. A few years later the family moved to New York, where Natalia went to school.
A girl from a young age was diagnosed with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). Parents, taking care of her health, sent the child to a specialized educational institution, where such children studied according to the program, which provided for an individual approach to each student.
Already in the elementary grades, the girl became interested in creativity and began performing on stage in theatrical productions. Gradually, she began to realize that she really wanted to be an actress and devote her life to art. Natalia decided to continue her education at the University of New York in order to study acting.
Film career
Dyer performed her first roles in her school years. The debut was the film "Hannah Montanna: Cinema", where the main role was played by the popular actress Miley Cyrus. Natalia received one of the episodic roles, but many viewers remembered her image. A successful start in cinema inspired the young actress and pushed to search for new roles. She began to participate in auditions, and two years later she reappeared on the screen in the film "The Whitney Brown Youth." She again got only an episodic role, as in the following films: “Sad as Jazz” and “Healer”.
The girl won the first serious role only in 2014 in the independent film "I Believe in Unicorns." The acting skills of young Natalia was highly appreciated by critics, but the film never went on a wide roll, so for the audience, Dyer’s work went unnoticed.
In the same year, the girl began to prepare for admission to the university and postponed filming for a while. She appeared in only a few episodes of short films: "Till Dark" and "The City at Night", as well as in a small supporting role in the film "Long Night, Short Morning."
Two years later, in 2016, Natalia went through a casting to participate in Netflix's new mystical project, Very Strange Things, and actually pulled out a lucky ticket that gave her the opportunity to start building a professional acting career. She got the role of Nancy Wheeler and after the release of the first season she woke up famous.
The series, shot by the Duffer brothers, tells about the life of the inhabitants of a small American town, where very strange events suddenly begin to occur. First, a boy named Will disappears, and then Nancy's girlfriend Barbara. These disappearances are associated with unusual, mystical events that began to occur soon in this area.
Since the events in the series take place in the 80s, Natalia began to carefully prepare for the role. She got acquainted with the music of those years, watched popular films of the 80s, studied fashion magazines and celebrity outfits, listened to the stories of her parents about that time.
The first season of the series "Very Strange Things" immediately captivated viewers around the world. Film critics also praised the director's work. The film won the Screen Actors Guild Award in the category "Best Cast in a Drama Series".
In 2017, the second season of the mystical television series was released, and the third season is planned for 2019.
In 2019, Natalia played in the movie Velvet Chainsaw, also released by Netflix.
