History
The first written evidence of the existence of a special unit relates to the reign of Ivan the Terrible. In August 1555, an order was voiced for the Boyars Duma on the allocation of land to two thousand archers. This was due to the need to constantly stay next to the royal palace.
In the 17th century, the emperor was guarded by 200 people constantly. At night, a special person was on duty near the royal bedroom with 1-2 entourage. After the collapse of the USSR, it was decided to create such an executive body. The main goal remained the protection of government officials. Since 1992, the "Main Directorate of Security" was also engaged in providing special communications. In 1996, the body was disbanded, and the FSO was created on its basis.
What is the FSO?
The service is part of the security forces of the Russian Federation. In his work he is guided by constitutional provisions, various federal laws, acts of the president and government, international treaties. The president directs the work. - protection of the president and members of his family;

In 2018, the merger of the FSB, SVR and FSO into the “Ministry of State Security” is actively discussed in the media. The FSO will operate in the form of a “Presidential Security Service.” Following the reform, this executive branch will control transport services for senior officials and special-purpose communications equipment.
The purpose of such changes is:
- increasing the level of power structures management;
- fight against corruption;
- defense departments reach a higher level.
It is assumed that the updated branch of the executive branch will begin to perform tasks comparable to the functions of the Soviet "State Security Committee."
Structure of the “Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation”

How can I get a job in the FSO
Almost all employees are graduates of a specialized academy. It is a federal state treasury military educational institution. He is engaged in training personnel for local security agencies and other types of executive power, which provide for military service. Cadets are trained in several programs:

During training, cadets are fully supported by the state and receive monetary allowance. The first two years, students live in barracks, the remaining three - in dormitories.
How can I get a job at the FSO?
The legislation established that the citizens of our country can serve in the FSO or work in the structure, without taking a direct part in security activities. Not everyone can get a job. Mandatory requirements include:
- age from 18 years;
- citizenship of the Russian Federation;
- the absence of a criminal record or fact of investigation of the crime against the applicant;
- military service or training at the FSO Academy;
- lack of medical contraindications.
It is impossible to get into the service for citizens who have two citizenships, have a close relationship with representatives of the structure or previously convicted persons.
For positions that do not imply service, getting easier. These include secretaries, couriers and other professions. It is mandatory for them to be fully able-bodied, if necessary, pass tests for vocational training with positive results.
