In 2012, the Moscow International Film Festival is held for the 34th time. This year, as in previous ones, competitive screenings will be organized at traditional metropolitan venues - in the cinemas "October" and "Artistic" and in the House of Cinema. A new venue will also be opened - the summer cinema "Pioneer" in the Gorky Culture Park.
Go to the film marking the opening of the festival - this is a Russian painting by Roman Prygunov DUHLESS based on the novel of the same name by Sergey Minaev.

Pay attention to the films of joint production of different countries within the framework of the main program. This is “Lonely Island” (Estonia, Belarus and Latvia) and “Hellfire” (South Korea and the Philippines).
According to the results of the festival, find out who will receive prizes - statuettes of St. George - for the best film (the prize is awarded to the producer of the film), for the best work of the director, for the best performance of male and female roles. A special jury prize will also be awarded.
Also pay attention to the "Perspectives" competition, a documentary and short film competition, out-of-competition and retrospective screenings, as well as a separate cycle of Russian films.
At the international film festival in the capital of Russia will present films that have not previously been shown publicly in our country (except for a retrospective screening and a special program of domestic cinema).
