The film "Clip" was shot by Serbian director Maya Milos and talks about the period of growing up girls in a small provincial town. The vast majority of people who watched the film have no doubt that this is a serious psychological picture of the problems of today's youth. However, the scandal is also associated with the distribution of the film in Russia.

Yasna, the main character of the picture, is disappointed in the life around her, despises her mother, constantly worried only about caring for her sick father, whom the girl is ashamed of. In order to escape from the disgusting reality in some way, Yasna is trying to find a new way in life through experiments with sex and drugs, replacing school studies with participation in wild parties.
The film received one of the three Golden Tigers - the highest awards of the highly reputable International Rotterdam Film Festival, which took place this year. After that, it was purchased for rental in Russia by Sam Klebanov, a film expert, TV presenter and head of the distribution company Kino Without Borders. The company planned to release two dozen copies throughout the country, and the all-Russian premiere was scheduled for August 30. However, the film is rich in very frank sex scenes, footage with drug use by adolescents and swearing. All this led to the fact that the Ministry of Culture imposed a ban on the issuance of a rental certificate to the painting. Such a right was granted to him by the regulation on the registration of films and videos. This decision caused protests among film enthusiasts and distributors, and another discussion about censorship unfolded in the Russian press. Cinema experts believe that to solve the problem it is enough to introduce age restrictions, and officials pay attention to the fact that cinema workers rarely observe the age limit.
Meanwhile, Maya Milos, the director of the problematic picture, was invited to the jury of the film Message to the Man, which will be held in autumn 2012 in St. Petersburg. The screening of the movie "Clip" is also planned at this film forum. Alexei Uchitel, president of the festival, said in the press that the picture will be shown at a special evening session. It will introduce an age limit of 18 years. It is likely that this particular film festival will be the first official platform in Russia where the picture will be shown.
