Bruce Greenwood (full name Stuart Bruce Greenwood) is an American actor and producer. Greenwood began his creative career with performances on the theater stage in Canada, then appeared in episodic roles in television projects. Since 1982, starred in Hollywood.

The future famous actor was born in Canada in the summer of 1956. His father during this period worked as a geologist, engaged in mining. Together with his wife, he was in Norand (Canada), where their son Bruce was born.
The boy’s mom worked as a nurse in a clinic. My father was not only a geologist, but also a geophysicist, doctor of sciences, professor, teacher at Princeton University. Bruce has two younger sisters: Kelly and Lynn.
Bruce's paternal grandfather is Ralph Allan Sampson. He was the Royal Astronomer of Scotland.
When the boy was eleven years old, the family moved to Vancouver, where Bruce began to go to school - Magee secondary school. Then the father received a new appointment, because the family went to Switzerland.
There, Bruce became interested in skiing and even planned to build a professional sports career. He showed great promise, participated in several competitions and famous ski tournaments.
When Bruce was sixteen years old, he received a severe knee injury and underwent six operations. After that, I had to forget about professional sports forever.

After some time, Bruce's father received an offer to head the department of geology at the university. The family returned to Vancouver.

Greenwood studied acting at the London Central School of Speech and Learning, and then at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.

In the 1970s, Greenwood began working at the Vancouver Theater, where he received his first small roles in performances. Then he tried to appear on television, but even there he was offered only inconspicuous secondary roles in the series.
Work in the theater and on television was not in vain. Having gained experience, Bruce went to New York, where he continued to study acting. Then he moved to Los Angeles and began to look for work in the film industry.
In 1982, he gets a cameo in the famous action movie "Rambo: First Blood." From this point on, his entire future career will be connected with Hollywood.
Greenwood starred in famous and popular TV shows and feature films, where he most often got secondary roles. But this did not stop him from becoming a famous actor and building an excellent career in cinema.
