Biography
Brigitte Anne-Marie Bardot was born in 1934 in the capital of France, Paris. She became the first child in the family, and later her youngest sister, Mizhana, was born. The parents of the girls were deeply religious people, raised them in the framework of Catholic traditions and sent to school at the Catholic Church. There were nannies and governesses in the family who helped the children gain general knowledge about the world and learn Italian.
Little Brigitte Bardot in school years, even if desired, could not be called a beauty. She had an uneven bite of the jaw, which was outwardly very noticeable, squint and an allergic rash. The girl hated her appearance, was closed and detached. When she realized that this could not continue further, she began to wear special glasses for the treatment of amblyopia and braces on her teeth. In a teenage girl it was impossible to recognize the future sex symbol of France.
At the age of seven to eight, Brigitte began to get involved in ballet. She put all her strength into this activity, carefully working on posture and plastic. She walked with a glass of water on her head to learn how to walk with a perfectly straight back, which she did amazingly. The young Parisian decided to devote herself to a dance career and entered the conservatory of music and dance. But in the ballet class, she showed insufficient zeal and concentration. Despite the excellent plasticity, she could not perform some movements due to underdeveloped muscles and slowness. For mistakes she often got from a teacher who did not disdain to beat ballerinas with a whip. When Bardo was fourteen, she was invited to go on tour with a professional ballet group. The girl visited two cities with them, returned to Paris and continued to practice ballet, but she no longer had that particular passion for dancing.
In 1949, Bridget's mother decided to open her own fashionable clothing boutique, and took her daughter as the main model for shows. The talent of the young Frenchwoman was noticed by the editor of the magazine Elle, who invited her to the first shoot in the magazine. The girl’s mother resisted for a long time, but in the end agreed with one condition. The name Brigitte Bardot will not be indicated in the journal, but only the initials - "BB". A year later, the second proposal came from the same magazine and another photo was taken. The new issue of the magazine was noticed by the director of the movie "Le Trou Normand" and invited the young model to audition. After her debut in this film, Brigitte was simply bombarded with invitations to new roles, which she eagerly accepted, even though her parents were against this “vulgar” occupation. In total, the actress starred in more than forty films, photographed on the covers of the best magazines and participated in fashion shows. At the age of forty, she herself left the cinema, as she believed that her career had become obsolete. She wanted to leave with dignity, until the film industry threw her on her own.
