Childhood and youth
Edward was born in Ukraine in 1934. After the war ended and the family returned from evacuation, they settled in Moldova. In the drama club of the House of Pioneers, the artistic abilities of Edward were first revealed. But the teenager dreamed of a military career, so he was enrolled in the Suvorov School. However, poor health did not allow him to go further along the path of military education, unexpectedly for all the young man entered the VGIK. After graduating from high school in 1958, he joined the Theater Studio of a film actor.
Career
A young man with a solid look and a characteristic appearance was immediately noticed, already in the 2nd year he got his first role in the movie. The artist made his debut in the film "Green Dol" in 1954. After a successful start, he "got into the cage" and began to act regularly. One after another, the paintings followed: “The First Echelon” (1955), “Different Fates” (1956), “Wind” (1958), “Peers” (1959), “Cossacks” (1961).
Great success was the film "The Case of Motley" (1958), which was seen at the box office by almost 34 million viewers. In detective Bredun masterfully played the role of Mitya Neverov. Popularity was added by the characters of Bredun in the comedies The Twelve Chairs (1971) and Ivan Vasilyevich Changes the Profession (1973). In the first picture, Eduard created the image of Pasha Emilievich, in the second - the speculator radio components. The filmography of the artist has more than 30 works, including many episodes and supporting roles.
