In Russian football, there is currently a demand for foreign coaches. Many top clubs in the country sign multi-million dollar contracts with foreign experts. Ten years ago, the middle RPL teams could not afford such luxury. However, Perm “Amkar” in 2008 managed to sign an experienced foreign specialist. They became Miodrag Bozovic.

The name of Miodrag Bozovic is well known to the general public of Russian football fans. The mention of this coach evokes associations with a highly qualified specialist in his field, who for many years worked hard for the development of football, including in seven Russian clubs.
Bozovic was born in Montenegro on June 22, 1968. He has four citizenships at once (Yugoslav, Serbian, Montenegrin and Dutch). He began his career in football as a player, only then he completely focused on the career of a coach.
Player career
The Balkan countries are stably suppliers of talented football players who, for the path of their careers, make a name for themselves in world football. However, Miodrag did not become one. Speaking as a defender, Bozovic did not earn fame as a top defender, although his club career was full of various teams, including foreign ones.
Player career for Bozovic began in 1986 in the Yugoslav club "Buduchnost". Subsequently, he played for the well-known “Red Star” (perhaps the most famous Balkan team with the victory in the European Champions Cup). In “Red Star” Miodrag played 52 matches and even scored one goal scored. And his main achievement in club football is the victory in the Cup of Yugoslavia in 1993. With his game, Bozovic made a considerable contribution to the conquest of the trophy "Red Star".
In the career of Bozovic as a player, foreign clubs also appear. So, he performed in Japan, Cyprus and even Indonesia.
The last club of the Bozovic player was the Dutch team “Roosendaal”.
It is worth noting that Miodrag Bozovic was called up to the national team of Yugoslavia, but played only in a single match.
