Bogachev's biography could have developed in different ways. Like many boys, Alexander dreamed of becoming a military man. He studied well at school. Actively involved in sports. He took part in public life. He was able to find a common language with classmates. However, the points obtained at the exams were not enough for him to be among the cadets.
In the service of the sea
At eighteen, Bogachev was drafted into the army. By order of the conscript was sent to naval service. A year later, the sailor filed a report on an instance and was transferred to a diving school. Having received a specialized education, the young lieutenant arrived for further service in the Northern Fleet. Alexander Sergeyevich’s career was developing progressively, without failures and failures. The warhead of the submarine, which he commanded, always complied with the set standards in exercises.
In 1981, according to the results of large-scale exercises, Lieutenant Bogachev was awarded the medal "For Military Merit" and prematurely promoted. It should be noted that military equipment is regularly upgraded and updated. This is a necessary process, since the fleet of the probable enemy also "does not stand still." In his commander’s practice, Bogachev uses his professional knowledge and does not refuse creativity. Another important control element is close and regular contact with the crew.
