Biography
Evgeny Zharikov was born in 1941 in Moscow. The mother of the future actor taught literature and the Russian language, and his father was a writer. In addition to Eugene, five more children were raised in the family. His childhood fell on hard war years. The boy was addicted to reading and creativity early. Parents insisted that after school he enrolled in a technical university, but curiosity led Eugene to VGIK, where he was successfully enrolled in 1959.
In his student years, Yevgeny Zharikov already began acting in films, making his debut in the film "And if it's Love." As a third-year student, he played the famous Andrei Tarkovsky in the film "Ivan Childhood", and already closer to graduation he played one of the main roles in the comedy "Three Plus Two." The film glorified the young man, whom they began to predict a great future. Having been educated, Zharikov played in several other popular films: “Angel Day”, “It Can't Be!”, “The Mysterious Monk” and others.
In 1974, the actor played the role of detective Nikolai Kondratiev in the serial film "Born of the Revolution." The image he showed instantly became the idol of thousands of Soviet people. In the future, it was the roles of the military that gave the actor the best. In the 80s, such films as “Secrets of Madame Wong” and “Seven Hours to Death” were published, and by the beginning of the new decade Zharikov was appointed President of the Guild of Actors in Soviet Cinema, which remained until 2000. Later he played in the films "Bless the Woman" and "Hostages of Love", and also worked on the voice acting of various projects.
