Biography
The future athlete was born in August 1993 on the fourth. From an early age, the girl was very active and loved to play sports. Parents for a long time could not decide on the choice of a sports section. When Anya was in middle school, they started skiing in physical education, and the choice was made in the ski section. At the age of ten, she began to engage in this sport at a serious level.
The girl quickly got used to it and began to progress from year to year. At the junior level, she quickly achieved high results and was subsequently admitted to the national team of Kazakhstan. Thrice participated in world championships.
Professional career
In 2013, under the strict guidance of her mentor Alexander Kursakov, Anya Shevchenko passed all the necessary standards and received the title of Master of Sports. In the same year she made her debut at the adult level in the World Cup in skiing. She also took part in competitions held in Belarus, won a bronze award there.
2014 brought the athlete a whole scattering of various awards. At the national championship of Kazakhstan in the pursuit race of 5 kilometers, the girl won a gold medal. In the mass start, she finished third and was awarded bronze. At the FIS international stage, held in Kontiolahti, Shevchenko won the five-kilometer race with a classic style and added one more gold to her piggy bank.

Real success came to a talented athlete in 2017. At the home Universiade, which was held in Almaty, Anna won five different awards at once. Three of them are bronze for a 15 km race, a 5 km classic and a 5 km pursuit. In the 3x5 km relay, Shevchenko won a silver medal. And a real triumph awaited the skier in the mixed team relay race, where the Kazakhstan team won the gold award.
In addition to sports awards, a triumphant performance at home competitions brought the girl her own apartment. Impressed by the success of the athletes, officials decided to encourage skiers. And the governor of Pavlodar region, where Anna by birth handed the girl the keys to the apartment for his contribution to the victory.
