The main charm of the building is the large, beautifully equipped stage with Shakespearean exits and balconies: they lead to the stage, under the stage and behind the stage. A scene can rise, fall and change in different forms. This is a merit of the People's Artist of the USSR Sergei Vladimirovich Obraztsov. It was he who during perestroika helped with his advice. The first performance based on the works of A. Zelenin was staged at this historical puppet theater. This event occurred in one thousand nine hundred and ninety-eight. But another performance, staged in two thousand and two, was noted not only by the audience, but also by critics.
From the year 2000, Andrei Sergeyevich was the head of the Club of Young Storytellers of the Perm Regional Children's Library named after Lev Ivanovich Kuzmin, in which children learned to pick up a rhyme, invented stories, broke long words into several short ones.
