The future athlete was born on June 10, 1959 in the north of Italy - in the town of Reggio, in the province of Emilia-Romagna. All his childhood passed there. The parents of the football player - Giuseppe and Cecilia - were ordinary farmers. The Carlo family made legendary Parmesan cheese. Parents tried to raise their son in the best Italian traditions.
The boy and his brother spent a lot of time on the farm. Parents wanted him to continue their work, but Carlo chose a different path. Every day, he saw his father and his mother hired for a penny. Repeating their fate was not part of his plans, then he began to think about big sport.
Ancelotti came to football late. Carlo began taking his first steps in this game at age 13. He quickly got into the youth team of his city, where representatives of the Parma football club soon drew attention to him. Then he was barely 16 years old. Ancelotti was taken to the club double.
In an interview, Carlo recalled his decision: "Football is not just work. I grew up on a farm, and football is the best life."

In an interview, Carlo recalled that in childhood he dreamed of protecting the colors of Milan's Inter. It was even watched by the breeders of the club, but immediately rejected. What later, most likely, greatly regretted.
Carlo Ancelotti played as a central midfielder. Now this line is called the “defensive midfielder". Carlo's height is 180 cm. Powerful and tall, the role of the central midfielder was ideal for him. Ancelotti did not let the opponent players down. For this he received the nickname "Gladiator". After the release of the famous film with Arnold Schwarzenegger, they began to call him "The Terminator".
In his first professional club, “Parma”, he came in 1976. At first he played for the youth team, but he was soon transferred to the first team. For three years, Carlo spent 55 matches there, scoring 13 goals. The club during this time was able to improve in class. In the decisive match Ancelotti scored two goals against the opponent. This allowed Parma to win. After this, Carlo received an offer from Roma (1979).
As part of this club, he played in 171 matches and scored 12 goals. Together with the Romans, he repeatedly won the Italian Cup (in 1980, 1981, 1984 and 1986). Also with Roma, he won Series A (a group of the strongest clubs) in 1983.
In 1987, Ancelotti became a player in Milan. In this club he managed to achieve the greatest success. He spent 112 games and scored 10 goals. Together with the Milanese, Carlo becomes twice the champion of Series A (in 1988 and 1992), the owner of the Italian Super Cup (1988), the European Champions Cup and the European Super Cup (1989 and 1990) and the Intercontinental Cup (1989 and 1990).
Ancelotti also played for the national team. On his account 26 matches. As part of the national team, he won bronze medals of world championship (1990) and European (1988).
In total, Carlo played in 338 matches during his playing career. On his account 35 goals scored. He completed his career as a player in 1992.

Coaching career Carlo Ancelotti
Immediately after the completion of a player’s career, Carlo began to try himself as a coach. In 1992, he acted as an assistant coach for the Italian team.
Two years later, Ancelotti leads the Regina club. This is a team without special regalia, then it was part of the series "B". The arrival of Ancelotti allowed the club to break into the elite group of the Italian championship.
In 1996, Carlo became at the helm of the team with which he began his career as a player - “Parma”. Ancelotti led his first club to second place in the Italian Championship in the 1996-1997 season.
In 1999, Ancelotti came to Juventus, where he also achieved great success. In 2001, he changed his residence permit to Milan. He worked there for 8 years, becoming one of the successful coaches in the club’s history.
In 2009, Carlo led Chelsea, with whom he became the champion of England and took two Cups. In 2011, Ancelotti began coaching the French Paris Saint-Germain. He won with him the gold of the French championship (2013).
After France, Ancelotti moved to Real Madrid. Many coaches dream of working in this club. With Ancelotti, Madrid won the key Euro-tournament - the Champions League. They went to this for a long 12 years, and only with Pope Carlo did their dream come true. The next season, “Real” could not repeat the success, and Ancelotti was fired.
After his dismissal, Carlo rested for a year from football. In 2016, he received an offer from Munich Bavaria, which he gladly accepted. With Ancelotti, the Munich team became the champions of Germany and took the country's Super Bowl.
In 2018, Carlo again returned to the Italian championship, standing at the helm of “Napoli”.
Over the years of coaching, he received the nickname "Papa Carlo". Probably for treating his players with care. Meanwhile, Ancelotti is not a stranger to principles. So, if a football player does not fit into the team, Papa Carlo immediately tells him about it. And it does not matter who is in front of him - a beginner or an eminent player.
