Anatoly Papanov is an actor of exceptional giftedness, and it is not for nothing that he has earned popular love and reverence.
Childhood and youth
Anatoly Papanov was born in 1922 in the small town of Vyazma near Smolensk. His parents were extremely intelligent people, in addition, very faithful, which in those days was difficult to imagine.
Father addicted little Tolya to the theater, as he regularly played in amateur performances and even acted as a director. Therefore, Anatoly from his youth participated in theatrical productions.
Things did not work out with young Papanov’s studies. He constantly got bad grades and often bullied. Therefore, after graduation, he went to work at the factory. But he did not leave classes at the theater. Gradually, he became a star in the Theater of Working Youth, the audience adored him.
War
But war broke out. The young foundry was immediately sent to the front. Papanov often recalled the horrors of war and talked about how he miraculously survived when almost all of his comrades died.
The war greatly influenced the character of the young artist. She forever settled a spark of sadness in the mischievous nature of Anatoly.
After the wound, Papanov was sent home, but he remained at the front. He began to ride to the front lines with concerts, trying to alleviate the fate of warring soldiers and officers. Then for the first time the idea came to Papanov that acting was his calling.
Education
He decided to enter GITIS. But he arrived late, entrance exams are already over. The rector of the institute decided to listen to him and was pleasantly surprised by the talent and training of a completely ordinary-looking young man. Papanov was admitted to GITIS immediately for the third year.
Career
Anatoly successfully played in various theaters of the USSR. Among the spectators there even appeared the expression "go to Papanov". The actor didn’t really like cinema, because he felt somewhat constrained in front of the camera. Nevertheless, the comedic roles of Kisa Vorobyaninov and Lelik from The Diamond Arm glorified him throughout the country. And in the film "Cold Summer of the 53rd", the actor showed all his dramatic talent, piercingly playing a political exile.
