Biography
Anatoly Kasheparov was born in 1950 in Belarus, in Minsk. There were no musicians in the Anatoly family. His father, Efim Filippovich, knew physics, chemistry, and mathematics well and helped students write their theses in these disciplines. Mother worked in the publishing house "Belarus" as a proofreader.
Anatoly from childhood had a beautiful and sensual voice. He listened to popular singers and tried to copy their singing.
In 1965, the future artist graduated from the Bayan School of Music. Then he entered the Minsk Polytechnic Institute. The love of music led the young man to the Blue Guitars music group, which was organized by the students of the institute. Young guys gave concerts in clubs and sang in restaurants.
At one of the performances of the talented young man, Vladimir Mulyavin, the head of the vocal and instrumental ensemble "Pesnyary" noticed. He invited a young man to his team. In 1971, Anatoly Kasheparov became the soloist of one of the most famous groups of Soviet pop music - Pesnyary.
As part of the ensemble, he toured the cities of the country and abroad.
In 1976, Belarusian musicians were on tour in the United States. Anatoly Kasheparov first saw how people live in America. Later, the artist recalled that American life seemed to him a holiday.
The young man understood that his career as a singer would someday end. He began to think about his future. Anatoly already had an institute of culture. He decided to continue his education and entered the directing department at GITIS (A.V. Lunacharsky State Institute of Theater Arts). In 1989, Kasheparov left the "Pesnyary", since studying at GITIS did not allow him to go on tour.
Anatoly received his director’s diploma in 1990. At this time, the country began the difficult years of perestroika. People of creative professions: singers, actors, directors remained unclaimed. In 1991, Kasheparov decided to emigrate to the United States.
Anatoly left alone, leaving his wife and two daughters in Minsk. They came to him a year later, when he found work in America and rented an apartment. The family first lived in Los Angeles, then moved to New York. Anatoly had to overcome the difficulties that fell to his lot in America. To provide for his family, the singer did not disdain any work. He sang in a restaurant and worked as a pizza delivery man until he firmly got to his feet.
The Kasheparov family currently lives in Florida in their own home. They have their own business: two pizzerias.

Anatoly often comes to Russia with concerts. At home, it is warmly received by spectators who remember his work in the musical group "Songs".
Creation
In the 70-80s of the last century, the vocal and instrumental ensemble "Pesnyary" was at the peak of its popularity.
Anatoly Kasheparov successfully soloed in the songs "Mowed Yas Stable", "Mother-in-law", "Spadchyn" and others. He was especially good at lyrical songs. Anatoly Kasheparov was the first performer of the song by A. Pakhmutova to N. Dobronravov’s poems “I can not do otherwise”. In the group, he played an old Slavic instrument, a wheeled lyre.
Musicians gathered huge halls and stadiums, giving three to four concerts a day. The songs of the legendary "Songs" have always been based on good poems. The team leader Vladimir Mulyavin was able to harmoniously combine the musicality of Belarusian and Russian folklore with modern rhythms. The group’s repertoire included mostly Belarusian songs.
Vladimir Mulyavin turned to the songwriter Mikhail Matusovsky with a request to write a Russian song for his collective. In 1976, the poet wrote the song "Vologda" to the music of Boris Mokrousov. Mulyavin composed the arrangement for her.
The song was first performed at the anniversary evening of Mikhail Matusovsky performed by Anatoly Kasheparov. The young soloist not only sang, but also played the button accordion.
The song "Vologda" brought Kasheparov unprecedented popularity. Vologda was asked to perform an encore. At each concert of Pesnyarov, the audience was waiting for the singer with an unusual and sincere timbre of voice. Together with Kasheparov, the audience sang along: "In Vologda-where-where-where
Anatoly Kasheparov managed to earn the love of his listeners. Several generations of Soviet people still remember their idol.
