Since Alexander Grigoryevich does not give an interview about himself and has not yet written his memoirs, it is only known that he was born on July 8, 1948 in Ukraine. The writer spent his childhood and youth in Zhytomyr, a small town 100 km from Kiev. Honestly served 2 years in the ranks of the Soviet Army. Then he moved to Kiev, where he began work in the prosecutor's office.
The choice of profession determined the whole future life of Alexander. To continue the work, it became necessary to obtain higher education and in parallel with the work as a secretary in the prosecutor's office of the Ukrainian SSR in the capital, he entered the Kharkov Law Institute. By the time he received his diploma in law, in 1976 he had already begun to move up the career ladder.
Job and career
Alexander Zvyagintsev devoted 17 years to the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office, having worked there until 1987. Starting with the duties of secretary, he went all the way to the post of head of the statistics department, and became senior assistant prosecutor of the Ukrainian SSR. Since 1986, he served as deputy head of the department of propaganda and systematization of Soviet legislation. Then, until 1992, he held positions in the organizational and control department.
During these years, when the country was undergoing rapid and rapid changes, he led the center for information and public relations of the USSR Prosecutor's Office. Later he became a senior assistant to the Prosecutor General of the USSR. From 2000 to 2003, he held senior positions in the prosecutor's office of the Volga Federal District. Since 2003, he took the post of Deputy Prosecutor General not of the USSR, but of a new country - the Russian Federation.
The achievements of this period cannot be underestimated. Zvyagintsev achieved the revision and cancellation of a number of articles in the legislation of Bashkiria and Tatarstan, having achieved their compliance with the Constitution of the federal law of the Russian Federation. He dealt with extradition to the homeland of Zakayev, Berezovsky, Nevzlin. In 2007, under his leadership, an investigation was conducted into the murder of Alexander Litvinenko in London.
In the period of rampant crime and the formation of large capitals, he dealt with questions of the supervision of legality in the field of civil courts. During his work in the prosecutor’s office, Alexander G. Zvyagintsev was carried away by literary work. He began writing back in the 80s, and the first published work was the novel "The Clan". Already in the mid-eighties, when such things were not mentioned anywhere, he spoke with documentary accuracy about the laws of the criminal world.
Then in 1994 he published his work on the first persons of the prosecutor's office of the Russian Empire, the USSR and his successor to the Russian Federation. The series has published 6 books on different periods of national history and jurisdiction. Around the same time, he wrote his own, probably the most widely known and popular series, "Sarmat." Based on these books, the series was later filmed.
Another series of detective and political action movies is Skif. Then came the books “Swiss Hills”, “Russian Prosecutors”, a series of detectives about Valentin Lednikov, “Natural Selection” in Russian and French, and a film was shot according to the script “Nuremberg Trials”. The author published some of the books under the pseudonym Alexander Olgin. By 2018, the author has written and published about 40 books in the genre of documentary, detective stories and thrillers.
