Alexander Yurievich Khochinsky - a native Leningrader whose birth date was February 29, 1944 - was born into a creative family. Father was a singer, soloist of a jazz orchestra, mother - a leading actress in the Leningrad Theater of Young Spectators. Left at the age of four without a father who decided to take his own life due to illness, the boy received a purely female education from his mother and grandmother, which determined his charisma and intelligence.
Contrary to the wishes of her relatives, after leaving school, Sasha decides to continue the acting dynasty and at the age of 20 becomes an actor in the theater where her mother worked, having received a profession in a theater studio.
His determination and desire to achieve what was conceived manifested later, when the actor went to serve in the army, considering this step necessary for every man.
Theater and Cinema
After serving in the army, the young artist continues to play in his native youth theater, combining work with studies at the Leningrad Institute of the Theater of Music and Cinematography.
On stage, the actor embodied more than 60 images. He equally well managed all roles from serious tragic to light and elegant comedic ones. The production of “The Cat That Walked On Its Own” revealed the director’s talent in the artist.
In the image of a cheerful, cunning and courageous gypsy guy Levka in the film "Bumbarash", who chanted songs together with V. Zolotukhin, millions of viewers recognized this unknown artist. In total, in his filmography there are about 40 films, where there are few main roles, but in each, even the secondary one, the artist did not go unnoticed.
In his entire career, Alexander was accompanied by music. Having a wonderful soulful voice and the ability to play the guitar, he not only accompanied his roles with the song, but also acted as a pop singer, voiced songs in films.
